Ticket Lottery starts Thursday for Music by the Sea
Only 250 patrons will be allowed in the event area for the 18th season of Music by the Sea. Physical Distancing will be part of this years safety protocols. This will create a new challenge as 250 is about a third of our normal crowd size. We choose to use the term Physical Distancing because our event has always been friendly and social. We know it can be done responsibly!
If you're planning on attending any of this years shows, you'll notice a few changes. In addition to the 250 patron limit, here are things you need to know:
- There will be no on site food service this year. Coolers and picnic baskets are welcome
- There will be contactless Digital Temperature Checks - anyone with a temp above 99.5 will not be admitted
- When registering for the ticket lottery patrons will be asked to verify they are symptom free
- There will be no dance floor in the pavilion. People may dance in the area where they are sitting and Physical Distancing must be adhered to
Registration for the Ticket Lottery begins Thursday morning September 3rd and continues through Monday, September 28th. Only one entry per IP address please and there is a limit of 4 tickets per entry. You'll be able to register for the lottery by clicking here! Winners will be notified via email each Monday afternoon.

New Lease for SABCA and Non-Profit Coalition
Thank you Mayor England, Commissioners Samora and Rumrell
Nearly 15 years ago, the Civic Association renovated the old Police Garage at Pier Park. The work was done by volunteers and all materials were bought and paid for by SABCA. Had two Commissioners gotten their way, SABCA and the other non-profits using the garage for storage would have been kicked out. Thanks to Mayor Margaret England and Commissioners Don Samora and Dylan Rumrell, the good work will continue as we now have a new three year lease.
We have used the building to serve the community with free Wifi at Pier Park, storing supplies and production items for Music by the Sea, Beach Clean Up, and Surf Illumination. We support other non-profits who use the building for community good. Currently, The Art Studio, Friends of Historic Scenic A1A Byway and the local Bocce Ball League all utilize space in the building. This vote was very important for us and the good of the community. Please thank these Commissioners for their support
